Content

Sapphire Mercatura released

Sapphire Mercatura is a specialized software-commerce module for presenting and selling Sapphire I.C.D.S. products, modules, solution bundles and engineering services.

Implemented capabilities

  • Unified catalog. Products, bundles and services with localized content, SEO metadata, availability states and controlled publication.
  • Immutable revisions. Draft and revision workflow, optimistic concurrency, publication history and restoration of historical revisions.
  • Commercial offers. Exact prices, ranges and on-request pricing, currencies, billing periods, licence types and localized terms.
  • Solution configurator. Bundle composition, required and recommended components, conflicts and server-side configuration validation.
  • Media and taxonomies. Reusable media, covers, galleries, categories, use cases, audiences, industries and capabilities.
  • Quote and demo lifecycle. Confidential requests, immutable snapshots, order lines, assignment, status transitions and commercial audit history.
  • AI and MCP. External tools let authorized AI clients read the catalog, select solutions, validate configurations and work with permitted commercial operations.
  • Independent provider contracts. Payments, licensing, protected downloads, billing and fulfilment remain versioned optional providers and do not break the base catalog when absent.

Result

Mercatura is already used as Sapphire's own software store. The module was completed well ahead of its original target and is ready for commercial content and the next Stripe integration stage.

Release notes

First working release of Sapphire Mercatura. The original generic e-commerce scope was refined into specialized software commerce with products, bundles, services, revisions, localization, pricing, dependencies, configuration validation, quote/demo workflows, media, taxonomies and external MCP tooling.
